Kapiti Island Swim

The 5.6km swim from Kapiti Island to Paraparaumu Beach is an annual Kapiti event held since 1963.  This is the first year Ray White has sponsored the event.

It was a fantastic day with 14 swimmers entering – a great chance to promote Ray White.  The first swimmer home was Casey Glover (23 years old) with a race record of 1 hour 7 minutes 08.53 seconds.  Second place went to Stephanie Bennington (16 years old) with the female record of 1 hour 23 minutes 34.99 seconds and third place went to 15 year old Adam Dyhrberg 1 hour 32 minutes 05.42 seconds.  Pictured here is Ray, who is 68 years old and has swum in all but one of the races since it started!  The competitors received a Ray White towel at the finish line.

Ray White extends Super Gold

Ray White is pleased to announce that we have accepted a further business partnership with Supergold Card.

We originally joined the SuperGold Card membership when the government first launched the programme in 2007.  There are over 527,000 people who are eligible for the card and this continues to grow by 35,000 each year.

The card is sent out to New Zealand residents who are aged 65 years or over, or those who are receiving superannuation or the veteran’s pension.  This group is automatically enrolled in the SuperGold Card programme and it gives holders access to a wide range of business discounts and facilitates access to government and local council entitlements and concessions.  The card can be utilised in Ray White by a potential client showing the card at time of listing to receive the company discount.  Members should be aware that the card is increasingly being used and offered by Ray White members.  In total last year we had over 100 referrals come to us through the SuperGold Card and this continues to increase each year.  Every individual office is listed on the SuperGold website and we are also listed in the latest information pack that has been sent to all SuperGold Card members this year.

Ray White offers a 10% discount to all card holders who choose our company. For further information visit the SuperGold Card website

2010 Year of Opportunity

2010 will see the opportunity for growth for our Ray White members.

With the new Act that came into effect during November last year, the change in the requirement from effective control to proper supervision will allow salespeople and current business owners to team up into new locations without the need for overbearing compliance. This will create opportunities for our business to grow at an expediential rate.  Salepeople will have the opportunity to grow their business by focusing on individual markets that previously may not have sustained a fully operational business.

We have our first example of this occurring at our Bucklands Beach office through Ellen Ming, who is one of our International Elite performers.  Ellen has a high profile through many years in a successful sales career.  The office at Bucklands Beach is part of the Mountfort Group but it is allowing Ellen to grow her own profile to a higher degree.  We will see this occurring more through individual salespeople wanting their own office but with the support of current business owners.

The Ray White Group is keen to support this initiative as it allows salespeople to maximise their growth and also build additional brand awareness for the company.  Please see the Opportunities page for the A class areas that we have available.   In addition to this, we can provide information on other markets that we also see opportunity for across New Zealand.

Queenstown is Top Office

Ray White has been positioned in the Queenstown market for just on five years. Over that time the business has made steady progress whereby today it is considered to be one of the market leaders.  Last month the office achieved the top position in New Zealand.

In speaking with one of the business owners, Bas Smith, he attributed the result to a consistent focus on listing and marketing for the business.  The brand awareness he said has continued to grow with their market share and the fact that momentum is creating momentum.

As part of the month’s sales there was a mixture from a $300,000 unit in Cardrona through to a large development site of just over $3 million. The office has attracted a number of top people who have made a difference to the business.  Mary Turnbull recently joined the office from Locations and Bas said that her focus and leadership was already showing dividends.

Commercial Success

mariette-beesleyWith 6 months tucked under her belt since joining the team at Ray White Birkenhead, Mariette Beesley is making real waves in commercial real estate on the North Shore.

Originally from Barfoot and Thompson, Mariette has been involved in selling real estate for over 5 years now. Her recent success can be attributed to her amazing work ethic and the support she receives from her business owners, Stephen Wong and Glen Carpenter. “We are delighted with her progress and the energy she brings into the office. She is a diligent worker who puts in long hours to achieve her goals and targets” Stephen says.

Mariette’s dominance can be easily seen right across the Shore. Her signs are on display in most commercial areas; this in its self has given Mariette’s business a real surge due to her market profile. With commercial real estate growing steadily on Auckland’s North Shore, Mariette looks forward to her continued growth it what is often perceived as a hard sector of the real estate market.
