Mountfort Estate Agents Limited principal partners Bob Mountfort and Neil Baker have extended their agreement with Ray White New Zealand to take them beyond 20 years with the Group. Mountfort Estates Agents Limited are one of the original foundation offices when Ray White became involved in the New Zealand real estate industry through the acquisition of United Realty.
Bob Mountfort’s real estate career commenced in 1986 after being involved in fashion manufacturing and retail. Bob commenced as a salesperson with Jim Weir Realty alongside Christine Fowler, who is also part of the Mountfort Estate Agents team. In 1991 the Howick franchise of United Realty became available and Bob Mountfort purchased this business and this was the start of the company known as Mountfort Estate Agents Limited. Just over a year later the first branch office was opened at Whitford and was known as Preview Realty. In 1993 now partner Neil Baker joined the group as a top salesperson and was offered a shareholding one year later to become part owner in Mountfort Estate Agents Limited.
Over the 20 years the company has grown to open up further offices originating from Howick in 1996 Pakuranga, in 2004 Botany Town Centre, in 2005 Bucklands Beach, in 2009 Dannemora, and most recently Half Moon Bay. Mountfort Estate Agents today has a total of 120 on their team and turnover approximately $300 million in property sales per annum and manage approximately 350 properties on behalf of landlords.
Bob Mountfort said that the business has undertaken extraordinary growth and much of the growth and confidence can be attributed to the loyalty and support that he has had from his partner Neil Baker and just as importantly, many of the team who have been with the company for over a decade. “We take pride in the way we run our company and the loyalty that our team has given back to us has been the cornerstone of our success.”
Neil Baker has been in a leadership position with Mountfort Estate Agents for 19 years and he said that our business has continue to grow with the support of Ray White and the dedication of our sales, property management and administration teams, who all contribute highly to the success of our company.
Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White New Zealand, said that the Mountfort Group plays a significant role in the overall success of our company. They are recognised as our largest collective business and the way they continue to grow their company to support all levels of performance has been a benchmark for Ray White. Their network throughout the Eastern Beaches sees them as one of the market leaders and they hold one of our highest market shares in an area across Auckland.
