Leading office Renews Agreement

We are pleased to announce the continuing commitment to the Ray White Group of Ray White Ponsonby.  The office, under the ownership of Bryce Earwaker and Simon Damerell have renewed with a long term agreement with the group. The office continues to be one of the top three businesses in Ray White New Zealand.

After taking ownership in 1996, Bryce Earwaker, who was a significant salesperson with another brand, took what was then the United Realty office from number 72 in the network to number 12 in its first full year of trading.  This was the fastest growth that any office had achieved in our network. In late 1997 Simon Damerell joined Bryce Earwaker to form a partnership that is now recognised as one of the leading real estate offices in Auckland.  Consistently being awarded as the top market share, the top marketing and one of the top turnover offices in the Group, the office has an enviable position as the market leader.

The office market share is in excess of 35% in Herne Bay, St Marys Bay, Freemans Bay and Ponsonby. The office also holds in excess of a 20% market share in Grey Lynn and Westmere.

The culture of the office is set on a platform of marketing and service. Each year the business has grown on this ethos and now has a return client rate of over 70%.

In talking about the renewal with Ray White, Bryce Earwaker made comment that he believed the Group has continued to assist the business being at the forefront of technology, marketing and staff development.  He went on to say that the culture they have developed within their business works well with the family values of Ray White and the commitment of the Ray White Group to their members.

Simon Damerell, the co-owner of the office, talked about their plans for 2011.  He said the office is strengthening its management structure with a blend of youth and knowledge. Providing resources to the team and to the marketplace is the point of difference for the office.  He went on to say “The office has always had top sales consultants and property managers and ensuring the environment is the best in the marketplace enables the team to achieve outstanding outcomes for their clients.”

The Ray White Ponsonby office is now in its 15th year of trading with the current owners.  The office embraces online marketing through its website www.rwponsonby.co.nz and also interacts through social media on Facebook and Twitter.

The office is located at 239 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby.

Marketing Success

Ray White City Apartments are considered the leaders in apartment selling through the Auckland CBD area.  As part of their sales strategy they have a high success with auction marketing and this is shown in their recent clearance figures, which have been in excess of 70% during the past quarter.

Damien Piggin and Daniel Horrobin, who work together as a partnership, have shown how the combination of marketing and auctions come together in subdued market conditions to give vendors, in most cases, a better than expected sales result.

Co-business owner Phil Horrobin said “The concept of marketing auctions does require a balance of print media and online marketing and this in many cases requires the vendors to consider a programme which will allow their property to be seen across a broad audience. The City apartment market is consistently active with buyers; however given the amount of stock that is available we request vendors consider taking their property to the next level of marketing with our company, who have a proven success rate with auction marketing.”  He went on to say “This is proven with two of their Elite salespeople Damien Piggin and Daniel Horrobin, who work in a very successful partnership, and have consistently shown the value of marketing through their high success rates.”

Ray White City Apartments have the highest level of marketing each weekend in the New Zealand Herald and also dominate the Trade Me feature market to ensure vendors not only get the best value from their marketing but also have a broad range offering in the online and print media areas.

Papakura Office extend Agreement

The Ray White Group is pleased to acknowledge the renewal of the franchise agreement with Ted Ingram, the owner of Ray White Papakura.  The office first became a member of Ray White through the transition period of United Realty to Ray White in 1997. The business grew market share steadily and in November 2005 Ted Ingram, who was a member of the Harcourts Group, purchased the office and since that time the market share has grown consistently.

Ted Ingram

In re-committing to the Ray White Group, Ted Ingram said that his business being partnered with Ray White is a natural choice. He said “The focus on auctions, technology and growth is a continued part of our business model and with Ray White leading the field in these areas, our business remains strong.  The other area that we are developing is our property management and we wish to continue to grow this during 2011.”  Carey Smith, Chief Executive for the Group, made comment that “The Papakura office is one of our best in the country and is well led by business owner Ted Ingram.”  He went on to say that the growth plans Ted has for the office will see the business continue to be the market leader in the area.

The Papakura office has approximately 20 on staff, including sales, property management and administration.  Please see the website for the Ray White Papakura team.

Growth Achievement for Beach Haven

Helene Brownlee, the Principal of Ray White Beach Haven, recently accepted the award as the top growth business on the North Shore for Ray White.  The growth award recognises a business that has increased its turnover on the same period in the previous year.  The award is a true measure of productivity and performance within the business given that it is measured on the same benchmark as the previous year.  The 2009 market was 21% better than the current market of 2010, which makes the award very poignant for these times.

In accepting the award Helene Brownlee recognised the team work within her office.  She said that Beach Haven provides a diversified market for buyers and is recognised for its value and proximity to the lower North Shore.  She went on to say “That team work is the biggest strength within her business and also the fact that she has been able to combine management with her own personal high level of sales.”

The Beach Haven office currently is number three in the growth award for Ray White New Zealand.

Carey Smith, Ray White Chief Executive said “It is a credit to the Beach Haven team, who have not only been recognised for their growth in 2010, but also the high level of market share the office continues to achieve.  It is a clear market leader in the Beach Haven area and the leadership shown by Helene Brownlee reflects the results that the office has achieved in 2010.”

Top Residential Office for October

The Ray White Remuera office, led by Megan Jaffe, was the number one residential office for the Group in October, turning over in excess of $23 million worth of property sales.

The Remuera office has continued to grow market share throughout their core trade area with a consistently high volume of sales through their sales team.  The average sale price for the Remuera office is just over $2.115 million and this has seen the business increase its overall turnover year to date to be the number two growth office nationally.  Megan Jaffe said “The month was a direct reflection of the increased activity through the marketplace combined with a continued focus on skills within the team.”  She also said that during 2010 the teamwork within the Remuera office had enabled each salesperson to list property with confidence on the basis that they had a strong support network behind them.  She went on to say that marketing has redefined the direction of the office as they continue to be appointed to high profile property listings.

Carey Smith, Chief Executive of the Ray White Group, said “It is pleasing to see the growth of the Remuera office and the market confidence that has been secured by Ray White throughout the area.   The office has maintained a steady growth over the last 12 months and the October results are a direct reflection of the culture and the success within the office.”
