Ray White Whangamata Ride Into Town

During the recent National Statement the Ray White Whangamata team ensured their profile through APN Coastal with a combined total of 16 pages which dominated their media during both weeks of the campaign. In addition to this, the Whangamata team also undertook a campaign to increase their web profile through Trade Me and had the first page of searches feature Ray White property in Whangamata.

Steve and Trish Morrison have owned the office for over five years and have been very particular in respect of their local community and the support that they have offered to projects, both locally and through the Coromandel. Trish Morrison was one of the first Ray White members to produce a localised listing kit built on the Ray White platform but based on local lifestyle photography from Whangamata and the local region.

As an extension of this, Steve Morrison said they had been thinking about branding a Ray White car in a similar format. The car, to everyone’s surprise, is a standout feature in the streets of Whangamata and Whitianga and is certainly well known throughout the towns. The car features a complete wrap of a Whangamata beach scene together with local housing. Steve said “The car with the Ray White surfboard was increasingly well known and it has been a high profile mobile billboard that we get many positive comments on.”

The Event

The Ray White offices in Papamoa and Mt Maunganui launched a promotional campaign known as ‘The Event’ in late March.

The promotion provides an opportunity for vendors to showcase their properties through print media, digital media and radio in the lead up to an auction event being held on 27th April at Classic Flyers. A strong response from vendors and buyers has endorsed this campaign and will see a total of 24 properties going to auction on the 27th. The auction will be held in three ‘lots’ with 12 properties per lot. The first 12 properties will go to auction commencing midday, with the day expected to conclude at approximately 5pm.

Greg Purcell, business owner of Ray White Papamoa and Mt Maunganui, said that the public is now more educated in the real estate process and as a consequence vendors have seized the opportunity to participate in this unique marketing promotion and are seeing higher levels of interest as a result of the increased exposure. “We wanted to give vendors something special. In doing that, we have had a special response – visitor numbers are up and vendors are happy.”
