RE/MAX Rebrands to Ray White Unlimited

On 1st July 2011 Re/Max Leaders in Christchurch became Ray White Unlimited Christchurch.  In a time of considerable upheaval in the Christchurch property market, the move by Re/Max Leaders to rebrand their leading South Island agency to Ray White has seen the Ray White Group grow in Canterbury by an additional 26 salespeople.

Rod Corbett, director of the new Ray White Unlimited Christchurch office said that the move away from Re/Max was undertaken in the best interests of the sales team.   He said “The commitment to continue in Christchurch was unquestioned and that the future for the office to be part of a vibrant business to provide a platform to the next level and also to be part of the number one agency throughout Australasia were key reasons for their decision to change to Ray White.”

The business located on Stanmore Road in Linwood has always had a considerable advantage.  The individual salespeople are dedicated professionals who have, particularly during the past period, taken on the challenges of the marketplace and been able to assist the community to move forward with confidence in their real estate making decisions.

Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White New Zealand, said that the new Ray White Unlimited team, headed up by Mike Wilson, sales manager, will provide Ray White with additional marketplace strength and credibility.  “Our Group is positioned as one of the market leaders in Christchurch and the vote of confidence of the management team to join Ray White has allowed the Group to consolidate its position in Christchurch and the broader Canterbury region. With the team coming on board, it will add a large amount of current listings which will give clients and customers of Ray White more choice in their property considerations.”

Ray White Release 135 Local Property Websites

Ray White has long been acknowledged as a first mover with technology and this is again the case with the second release of 135 local community based office websites.

In the first release Ray White was a leader in having each office integrate their property listings on a local site and this has been further enhanced this week as every office has released the new version of their local website. This enables each office to relate to their local communities through their own property marketing.  The front page of each site reflects the area each office operates in and the listings of that office are displayed in a full gallery with integrated mapping, community information and school zones. In addition to this, the websites have the ability for floor plans that give an actual view of the room from where the floor plan is taken.

School zoning and local community information is a first for any property website in New Zealand. School zoning gives information such as the distance from the property, identifies what school zone each property is in and also details surrounding schools near the property. Community information is provided for each and every listing and details the social and economic makeup of the area, including graphs comparing information of the immediate neighbourhood, the local area and New Zealand and a whole. There is also statistics on the rental averages and the expected returns.

Ray White has approximately 14,500 properties entrusted through their office network.

The office website release is the first of a number of website releases to come during May, with raywhite.co.nz due for release towards the end of May.

The following websites are a good example of the local content that each office is providing.  Please click here to see Ray White Hamilton, Ray White Kingsland, Ray White Stoke and Ray White Invercargill websites.

New Office Opens in Napier

The Ray White Group is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Napier (West Quay area).  The new office is located on Lever Street in Ahuriri directly opposite the Quay area.  This area is also home to other well established names and a growing number of restaurants and eateries.  The office is under the ownership of Phil Hogg and Virginia Wilson, who are high performing salespeople in their own right.  They have established the business on the basis of their own profile and this has already created a number of new listings for the office.

The Napier region is well known for its diversity of property from the areas of Napier, Taradale through to other regions of the Hawkes Bay including Havelock North and Hastings.  The diversification of property, particularly in Napier, takes in the waterfront through to residential housing as well as small lifestyle properties. The Napier area has a population of 60,000 people with just over 24,400 rateable properties.  The average sale price for the region for residential houses is $315,000 with approximately 80 sales on average occurring each month.

The new office has commenced trading and Phil Hogg commented that he believed the office location would be of benefit to clients and customers.  He said “We intend on having the office utilised as an auction venue and this should create good interest in the local prices for the area.”

Chief Executive of Ray White Real Estate, Carey Smith, said he was delighted to have Phil and Virginia on board.  “They will pave the way for new energy in the real estate market through the region and given their previous successful sales, this will stand them in good stead for their business ownership in Napier.”
