Carey Smith – NZ Chief Executive
Becoming involved in the real estate industry at the age of 17, Carey has spent his time predominantly with the Ray White Group as a salesperson, franchise owner, development manager and since 1997 as the Chief Executive of New Zealand operations. In recent times he has also taken responsibility for the growth of the Ray White Group Asian operations. His corporate career started in Sydney in 1990 as a development manager and auctioneer. In 1994, after running a business for two years he became involved with the Western Australian operations to amalgamate and merge Mair & Co and Peet & Co into Ray White. In 1996 Carey came to New Zealand on behalf of Ray White when the company traded through NZ with 58 offices as United Realty. In late 1997 he took leadership of the operation with the conversion through to Ray White United and subsequently Ray White Real Estate. Today the NZ group stands at 132 offices transacting approximately $5.2 billion worth of property. The company has shown continued growth which now sees the business as one of the preeminent real estate groups in New Zealand.

Graeme Fraser – Auckland Business Performance Manager
Graeme joins the corporate team at Ray White with over 30 years of senior management experience in the financial services and real estate industries. He has particular strengths in general management, sales, planning and business growth and performance. Graeme spent eight years at Harcourt’s, in both the national management team and business ownership; two years in Blenheim as a principal/partner in Century 21 whilst looking after his ailing parents; and five years with Harvey’s as a regional manager in both Wellington and Auckland. More recently Graeme has been with Premium Real Estate for four years as General Manager and CEO. During his time in Real Estate, Graeme has built a successful track record in residential, rural/viticulture, commercial and property management. personal and office performance. Graeme is impressed with Ray White – the brand, the leadership, its growth in tough times, its systems and people, and is looking forward to working with franchise owners in the Auckland region to further consolidate and grow Ray White’s market share. Graeme is married with two sons and four grandchildren. He has been actively involved in sport, both as a player and administrator, and has a strong interest in community matters.

Julie Ryan – South Island Business Performance Manager
Julie has had many successful years in the real estate industry and has been engaged by independent, national and international brands to deliver their performance training and also to consult as a mentor and business adviser at all levels within agency. Julie is a ‘hands on’ real estate agent who has been involved in almost every facet of the real estate industry. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Communication (Advertising). Commencing an outstanding personal sales career at 19 years of age, by 21 Julie owned her own large real estate agency practice. Her personal sales figures placed Julie in the very top handful of agents in Australia. Julie is a dedicated resource for our South Island members and will bring new levels of professionalism, insight and knowledge to those businesses.

Patricia Love – Group Training Facilitator
National Certificate in Real Estate (salesperson), Accredited REAL ITO Work Place Trainer, Certified Personnel Consultant
Patricia was a very successful real estate salesperson on Auckland’s North Shore before she joined REINZ in 2007 as a Qualifications Training Adviser for the ITO. She was involved in supporting the transition from the old salespersons course to the new era of the National Certificate in Real Estate (salesperson) and has a thorough knowledge of the curriculum for the National licensing qualifications. She conducted orientation workshops on the new qualifications and supported and mentored trainees completing on job training through the REAL ITO course work. Many of you will have met her at zone meetings, or on the Graham Cruise/ITO road show on Risk Management and Compliance under the new Act, which toured NZ.
Patricia has joined corporate as Group Training Facilitator and is excited about the opportunity of working with our network in induction and salespersons development training and the delivery of the compulsory REAA Verifiable Continuing Education which she will deliver via workshops around the zones. Prior to real estate Patricia spent 20 years in Personnel, Recruitment and Training. She has two teenage sons who are both at university, loves theatre and is a keen competitive sailor.

Rae Beale – Central & Lower North Island Business Performance Manager
Rae brings with her a wealth of real estate experience gathered over a 20 year period in the industry. During her career she has enjoyed many roles starting as a salesperson (specialising in the lifestyle market) in Manawatu, divestment land sales for Landcorp NZ throughout Wanganui and Taranaki, 3 years as the Training Manager for Harcourts New Zealand in the Northern Region, followed by a venture across the Tasman to establish a joint venture expansion between Brock Real Estate of Adelaide and Harcourts Australia. After returning to NZ she opened her first real estate office in Tauranga under the Remax brand going on to successfully grow that business into three offices. Within 18 months of her first office opening, she achieved third to top office in New Zealand undoubtedly helped by an impressive recruitment programme. This business was sold in late 2007.
Since then Rae has independently assisted business owners with management/business issues and planning, and branch management. Rae completed her Diploma of Business Studies (Real Estate) at Massey University in 1997; a qualification which opened the doors of diverse opportunities in our industry. She is looking forward to working with the Ray White franchise owners in the Central and Lower North Island region to continue to grow and consolidate Ray Whites market share and expansion.
Sarah joined the corporate team in April 2011 and is delighted to take on the role of Growth Performance Executive. She brings with her skills and experience from an award winning career in real estate. As a salesperson in 2003 Sarah achieved Top 10% award for the Auckland/Northland region. Early 2004 she moved to Ray White and enjoyed a significant leap in business growth as a result, quickly achieving the Ray White Premier status that year. She then grew her business to include a team of sales assistants known as the “Property Matchmaker” team and went on to attain and maintain Ray White Elite Award status for four consecutive years.Sarah now works actively to assist Ray White business owners with their ongoing recruitment within the group, as well as initiating opportunities outside the Ray White group to contribute to its ongoing growth and success.
