Carey Smith
NZ Chief Executive Ray White New Zealand

Becoming involved in the real estate industry at the age of 17, Carey’s real estate career as been predominantly with the Ray White Group as a salesperson, franchise owner, development manager and since 1997 as the Chief Executive of New Zealand operations.  In recent times, he has also taken responsibility for the growth of the Ray White Group Asian operations. His corporate career started in Sydney with Ray White in late 1989 as a development manager and auctioneer.  In 1994, after running a business for two years he became involved with the Western Australian operations of Ray White to amalgamate and merge Mair & Co and Peet & Co into the brand of Ray White. In 1996, Carey came to New Zealand on behalf of Ray White when the company traded through NZ with 58 offices as United Realty.  In late 1998 he took leadership of the operation with the conversion through to Ray White United and subsequently Ray White Real Estate. Today Ray White NZ group stands at 145 offices transacting approximately $10.75 billion worth of property sales with 16,200 properties under management.  The company has shown continued growth which now sees the business as one of the preeminent real estate groups in New Zealand selling 1 in 6 of all residential property sales in New Zealand.

Graeme Fraser
Head of Agency Operations New Zealand

Graeme joined the corporate team at Ray White in 2012. Graeme has over 30 years of senior management experience in the financial services and real estate industries. He has particular strengths in general management, sales, planning and business growth and performance. Graeme spent eight years at Harcourts, in both the national management team and business ownership; two years in Blenheim as a principal/partner in Century 21 whilst looking after his ailing parents; and five years with Harveys as a Regional Manager in both Wellington and Auckland. More recently Graeme has been with Premium Real Estate for four years as General Manager and CEO. During his time in Real Estate, Graeme has built a successful track record in residential, rural/viticulture, commercial and property management, personal and office performance. Graeme is impressed with Ray White – the brand, the leadership, its growth in tough times, its systems and people, and is looking forward to working with franchise owners in the Auckland region to further consolidate and grow Ray White’s market share. Graeme is married with two sons and four grandchildren. He has been actively involved in sport, both as a player and administrator and has a strong interest in community matters.

Jane Meyer
South Island Business Performance Manager

Jane is Christchurch based and has been involved in the real estate industry for over 20 years as a Licensee Agent, Sales Manager, Operations Manager managing the East Side division of Harcourts Gold Real Estate. Jane was awarded the REINZ manager of the year for 2015. Jane was from 2008 to the Skills Organisation as a marker of real estate agents’ certification papers and currently is an Industry Advisory Group member for the REAA. Jane’s career is one that has seen her build up substantive relationships and is known for her high-quality delivery of outcomes for both salespeople and clients. She has, over time, built up a reputation of being able to manage a significant number of salespeople and an ever increasing portfolio of successful sales across the East Side of Christchurch. Jane understands the dynamics of real estate business management and enhancing levels of business attraction.  Her skills around listing and selling property will be invaluable. Her knowledge base is broad, covering  the events in Christchurch first-hand; in particular the ‘As Is’ category of housing, coupling this with her understanding of client relationships and knowledge of the Act. Jane is looking forward to adding to the business mentoring, financial performance and also aligning with the growth in the area of market share and importantly customer satisfaction.

Farah Jacobs
Business Performance Manager

Farah has joined the Ray White Corporate team as a Business Performance Manager following a successful career in residential real estate sales at the Ray White Ellerslie office. Farah will assist franchise owners in Northland, the North Shore of Auckland and the Central North Island to achieve continued success and growth.

Prior to her real estate career, Farah had 12 years’ in the advertising industry, which provided her with a strong framework for branding and promoting key messages in the marketplace.

Graeme Smith
Business Performance Manager

Graeme began his real estate career in 1997 north of Wellington in an office that grew to become nationally recognised. He was part of a very successful team as a sales consultant and later the branch manager of the office, which continued to grow and tripled its market share. Graeme has seen many changes in the real estate industry over the years’ such as technology and compliance requirements, but the basics remain the same – this is a people business.

Keith Ashkettle
New Zealand Franchise Systems Manager

With strong project and change management control, Keith has twelve years experience looking after the technology and systems for Ray White New Zealand. Responsible for the implementation of new technologies to the Group Keith not only looks after new office website and technology setup but also mobilisation and business technology solutions in an online space to drive traffic and engagement through digital marketing channels.  An integral part of the management team, Keith provides strategic direction and is involved in all aspects of digital marketing and online presentation from customer relationship management to print delivery – whilst leading digital implementation and development for our Group. Keith in 2014 was recognised for his 10-year tenure with the Ray White group.

Kevin Clifford
Finance Analyst

Kevin joined the Corporate Team to provide our business owners with the tools and insight to measure and understand their profitability. After four years in public practice accounting, with a heavy emphasis on Business Advisory, he is well versed in identifying key profit drivers and communicating these to business owners. With a previous career in Food Science and Precious Metals, it is now clear that commerce is where his passion lies, working with business owners to help them understand their numbers and enact a positive change to their results. He brings a wealth of experience in business analysis and is particularly adept at financial modelling and forecasting. Not completely new to the real estate industry, Kevin has property management experience gained through high-end lettings during his time in London.
Well travelled, with stints in both Australia and Europe, Kevin has settled back in Auckland with his young family and is an active part of the Kingsland community.

Larissa Tuhaka
New Zealand Marketing Executive

Larissa brings a depth of skills to the Group with a passion for brand identity, relationship management and problem solving. Larissa manages the roll-out of international marketing initiatives to Ray White New Zealand and focuses on keeping the company’s visual identity prominent and consistent by ensuring all marketing tools are relevant and available. Larissa also manages many internal communications to our group, national marketing initiatives and long-standing relationships between various print and media partners and suppliers. Larissa brings a competitive edge, current New Zealand representative for Track & Field, with the drive and willingness to go the extra mile and challenge the status quo, bringing the Group the best results.

Stephanie Watson
New Zealand Franchise Operations Manager

Stephanie joined the Ray White Corporate team in 2007. Her extensive corporate experience assists in the development of formal relationships between corporate staff in New Zealand and Australia, New Zealand franchises, our clients, and financial members. Stephanie oversees all internal and external franchise liaison – including maintaining legal documentation for new and existing franchisees, the onboarding process for new offices, the implementation and maintenance of our awards tracking system, and financial reporting and New Zealand network performance statistics.

Zac Snelling
New Zealand Business Performance Executive – Property Management

Zac joins the Ray White corporate team in the role of Property Management Performance Manager after working within the Ray White family since 2007 in a variety of property management roles. Zac commenced his career with Ray White after first studying at Massey University towards a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in property valuation. In 2008, Zac was awarded the Property Manager of the Year Award and the number three Rookie of the Year Award as well as achieving Premier status in both 2008 and 2009 during his time as a property manager with Ray White Taylor Rentals. In 2010, Zac took on the role of senior property manager at Ray White Ellerslie. During his time there Zac helped almost double the rent roll as well as helping the office grow its property management reputation and market share, leading to the office being awarded the number three office nationally in 2012. Zac has a passion for people and looks forward to engaging with our nationwide network of property managers and business owners to help them achieve continued success and growth.
