Ray White NZ Name Top Residential Salesperson of the Year

Rohan Thompson from Ray White Royal Oak was named the number one Residential Salesperson together with the number 5 International Salesperson and the Supreme Growth Salesperson for 2011 in front 670 Ray White members at the Ray White Annual Awards held last night at the SkyCity Grand Hotel in Auckland.

Rohan has been involved in the real estate industry for 14 years and has sold over 520 homes throughout the Royal Oak, One Tree Hill and Onehunga areas. 

In accepting the award, Rohan acknowledged his support team and his wife Justine for the support that he has during the day as well as after hours. Rohan acknowledged his business partner, Martin Honey, and the other sales members of Ray White.

Carey Smith, NZ Chief Executive of Ray White, said that Rohan is a highly respected industry sales leader. “Rohan has been recognised for many years in his achievement as a outstanding salesperson. He not only has the highest level of communication and quality service; he understands real estate also from his degrees in property valuation and property management.”

There were six categories that individual salespeople were recognised in during the evening. Other top residential salespeople include number two in Supreme Growth and Residential Salesperson of the Year Marie Raos from Howick. Philip Hall from Ellerslie was recognised as third in the category of Supreme Growth, with Helene Brownlee being awarded in third position in the residential salesperson category.

First 2011 Calendar Year Elite Member

Ray White New Zealand is proud to recognise their first Elite member for the 2011 calendar year, being Helene Brownlee from Beach Haven.

Helene joined the real estate industry with Ray White in October 2002 after a career as a nurse with Plunket.  Having always lived on the North Shore, Helene became very successful in real estate; achieving Rookie of the Year in 2003 and going on to be recognised as a top Ray White performer with her first year of achieving Elite status also occurring in 2003.   In 2005 Helene purchased her own office at Beach Haven and this is where her success has continued.  Along with the support of her team, Helene has maintained a market share of over 30% in the Beach Haven and surrounding trade areas

In talking with Helene about the Beach Haven area, she said that it offers the promise of opportunity.  “It is an area that has always been a starting point which allows people to leverage into the market and enables them to build their wealth platform. It is a terrific area for families and for those looking for an area full of opportunity.”  On her own work, she said that the real estate industry has provided herwith a high level of independence.  She said that she loves being involved in helping people; demonstrating transparency, trust and building a relationship that is enduring.  She went on to say that the team that works with her are very much a part of the reason why the office has such a great market share.

The Ray White Group recognises three status levels – Elite, Premier and Executive – for its salespeople.  On an international level, New Zealand is represented through a high proportion of Elite members in the broader Ray White Group internationally.

Growth Achievement for Beach Haven

Helene Brownlee, the Principal of Ray White Beach Haven, recently accepted the award as the top growth business on the North Shore for Ray White.  The growth award recognises a business that has increased its turnover on the same period in the previous year.  The award is a true measure of productivity and performance within the business given that it is measured on the same benchmark as the previous year.  The 2009 market was 21% better than the current market of 2010, which makes the award very poignant for these times.

In accepting the award Helene Brownlee recognised the team work within her office.  She said that Beach Haven provides a diversified market for buyers and is recognised for its value and proximity to the lower North Shore.  She went on to say “That team work is the biggest strength within her business and also the fact that she has been able to combine management with her own personal high level of sales.”

The Beach Haven office currently is number three in the growth award for Ray White New Zealand.
