The Ray White Group results for July 2012 continue to show a positive lift in sales turnover which saw the Group complete in excess of $400 million in property sales, up by 34% on the same period last year and up by 1% on June 2012.
The Northland zone for Ray White saw the Group triple its sales numbers in comparison to this time last year. This is mainly due to the increase in the number of offices Ray White has across Northland, with full coverage throughout the region. The Auckland area was the other location that showed a considerable lift, with sales just over $250 million which was 80% ahead of the same period last year. The Group has also grown its network presence with five new offices throughout Auckland during 2012. The Central and Lower North Island were also in positive territory with 80% increases in sales turnover through this region. The Upper South Island was the only area to be in negative growth, which was down by 8%. The Canterbury region has now returned to sales volumes that are equal to the pre-earthquake time, being up 46% on the same period last year. The Lower South Island also showed a strong increase in Ray White sales with a 42% increase.
Overall the Group listed just over 2,300 controlled properties which are up by 12% and there was also a strong increase in the number of properties being marketed by auction; just over 30% with 467 submissions put forward in July.
The top offices for our Group saw Ray White City Apartments complete 73 sales and list just over 100 properties. The Ray White Remuera office continued to show strong sales increases and completed $24 million in property sales. Ray White Howick, through their sales team of 36 agents, completed $17.5 million in sales. The Ray White Ponsonby office had another strong sales month with auction marketing, completing just on $15 million. Ray White Ellerslie was the number five office selling $14 million worth of property.
Other top offices throughout the zones included Ray White Rotorua in the Central North Island, Ray White Whangarei in Northland, Ray White Palmerston North in the Lower North Island, Richmond in the Upper South Island and Ray White Metro, Ray White Unlimited and Ray White Rolleston in Canterbury; while Ray White Dunedin and Ray White Invercargill were the best performing offices in the Lower South Island.
The Ray White Group this month is opening four new offices. In Auckland; Grey Lynn, Broadway and Parnell Rentals while in the Southern Lakes region we have a new office opening in Wanaka this month.
The Ray White New Zealand Group results for May 2012 were the best sales results by the company in 4 years they showed a 54% increase on the previous May results in 2011 and showed a 21% increase on April’s results. The surge in sales came from right across New Zealand, with the Northland zone showing the most substantive increases, mainly due to the Ray White growth.
The Auckland zone saw an increase of 54%, with a major volume lift through Central and East Auckland. The Central and Lower North Island was up 53%. This was led by higher sales in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. The Manawatu district also showed a good increase. Throughout the South Island the West Coast area was exceptional in sales numbers, with the Upper South Island also showing a volume lift. The Christchurch region had double the turnover in comparison to this time last year; while further South, Otago and areas of Southland showed strong gains.
The top office for the Group was Ray White City Apartments, who completed 77 transactions and listed 112 properties. Ray White Ponsonby had unconditional sales in excess of $35 million which placed them at number two in the Group. Ray White Howick together with Ray White Remuera and Ray White Ellerslie were in the top five offices for the Group. Ray White Manurewa, Ray White Glenfield and Ray White Te Atatu were the other leading offices in the Auckland area.
Ray White Mill Street Hamilton, Ray White Rotorua and Ray White Papamoa had outstanding results in the Central North Island. Ray White Palmerston North was the top office in the Lower North Island zone. In the South Island, Ray White Metro in Christchurch and Ray White Rolleston were the two leading offices. Ray White Dunedin, Ray White Richmond and Ray White Greymouth also had outstanding months.
The result of the increase comes as favourable market conditions continue to buoy the market. In addition to this, the Ray White Group has added an additional 19 new locations during the last 12 months and this has underpinned the solid growth performance. This month Ray White will open a further two offices; being Ray White Papatoetoe and Ray White Lower Hutt.
